Jaws is the adventure movie that changed everything, and is still one of the most exciting films ever made. A shark attacks an island community, and a local cop, a scientist and a salty shark hunter set out to find the beast, only to become the hunted ones. Starring Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw.
Spectacular special effects were specially designed by Disney to create the world of Tron, a wonderful combination of live action, optical printing and computer effects that has no equal before or since. Starring Jeff Bridges at his sarcastic best, 80s camp, video game action and beautiful artwork make Tron one of the most entertaining movies of the era!

Our first event is the Los Angeles premiere of Under the Skin the new sci-fi thriller starring Scarlett Johanssen and directed by Jonathan Glazer (Sexy Beast, Birth). Surreal, sexy and downright terrifying, the film’s story is told obliquely, heightening the feeling of an other-wordly horror with a brilliant avant music score and spectacularly unusual special effects completing the atmosphere. Scarlett plays an alien visitor disguised in human skin preying on men in her most genuinely daring performance.
Director Jonathan Glazer will be in-person to discuss the making of this sci-fi masterpiece. Co-presented by Cinefamily. See the trailer here: http://vimeo.com/86430658
Join us in your pastel suits and lamé gowns for this pill popping classic — one of the ultimate indulgent doses of Sixties Mod fashion on film, wrapped up in the soapiest of manic melodramas!
Take in one of the ultimate indulgent doses of Sixties Mod fashion on film, Amongst over 100 incredible, eye-popping costume changes, starlets Sharon Tate, Patty Duke and Barbara Parkins run headfirst into the perils of booze, pills (aka those titular “dolls”), fame and attitude-heavy men on their way to the top of the cutthroat showbiz ladder. Based on the wildly popular novel by pop sensationalist Jacqueline Susann, Valley of the Dolls is the most outrageous (and thoroughly entertaining) entry in the grand “young women making it big in the big city” movie tradition. In truth, the real star of the movie is famous fashion designer “Travilla”: after a storied life dressing movie icons like Marilyn Monroe and Lauren Bacall, one of the artist’s career-crowning achievements was the non-stop parade of off-the-charts, “Big Sixties” pastel ‘n sequined gear that rains down on Valley of the Dolls like Niagara Falls. – See more at: http://www.cinefamily.org/films/dress-up/#dress-up-valley-of-the-dolls
